Regional Stakeholder Events in BENTHIS
In order to ensure a strong involvement of the fishing industry in the BENTHIS project workshops will be organized througout the project in all the regional case study areas: The Baltic Sea, North Sea, Western Waters, Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
The first workshop will be held over the next two months and the timeplan for each regional area is as follows:
At the workshop we will seek to improve the understanding of the fisheries selected in each regional area and the related technologies. We will assess the effects of existing and novel technologies on seabed ecosystem and not least discuss possible consequenses for the industry both ecological and economic factors.
The outcome of the workshop will be included in the preparation of a project workplan for each of the five case study areas.
